Our Story

From restaurant kitchens to your home—how dazzleray came to be.

2019

Where It All Began

dazzleray started with a simple observation: people wanted to cook better food at home but didn't know where to begin. After fifteen years working in professional kitchens across London, Birmingham, and Edinburgh, our founder noticed that friends and family constantly asked for cooking tips—not fancy techniques, but practical skills they could use every day.

What began as informal weekend sessions in a cramped flat kitchen has grown into a full-service culinary education company serving clients throughout the United Kingdom.

What We Believe

01

Technique Over Trends

Fads come and go, but proper technique lasts a lifetime. We focus on foundational skills that will serve you in any culinary situation.

02

Learning by Doing

Reading recipes gets you only so far. Real understanding comes from hands-on practice, making mistakes, and discovering what works through experience.

03

Respect for Ingredients

Good cooking starts with good produce. We emphasise seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients and teach you how to select, store, and handle them properly.

04

Accessible Excellence

Professional-quality food shouldn't require professional equipment or exotic ingredients. We adapt restaurant techniques for the home kitchen.

How We Teach

Every session begins with understanding where you are and where you want to go. Some clients want to master a specific cuisine; others simply want weeknight dinners to be less stressful. We design our approach around your actual goals.

Lessons take place in your own kitchen whenever possible. This lets us work with your equipment, your space constraints, and your pantry—so everything you learn is immediately applicable.

What Sets Us Apart

Unlike online courses or group classes, our one-on-one sessions adapt in real time. Struggling with knife technique? We'll spend more time there. Breezed through sauces? We'll move on to more advanced territory.

We also provide follow-up support between sessions, answering questions and reviewing photos of your attempts at home. Learning to cook is a journey, and we're here for the whole trip.
